Communications and Education
The Coalition has held public rallies all along the lake and river including Sandy Pond, Clayton, Alexandria Bay, Oswego, Greece, Sodus Point, Henderson Harbor and Olcott, New York to raise awareness, educate people, and recruit members to join our fight.
The Coalition puts out a monthly newsletter to over 1000 people. These newsletters are posted on our Facebook page and website as well.
The Coalition has developed a well-established Facebook page and website with large followings that are continuously updated.
The Coalition and our alliance partners have produced numerous videos and multiple webinars to educate people and elected officials about the impact of Plan 2014. Thousands of people from the U.S. and Canada have attended these webinars and viewed our videos. We will continuously update and create new videos and webinars in 2020 to offer a balanced view of the problems created by Plan 2014 & attainable solutions to fix them.
The Coalition team members have had several meetings with the IJC, Army Corps of Engineers, River Board members, Environmental Groups and Canadian Engineers to discuss the implementation of Plan 2014 and its effect on shoreline residents and communities.
The Coalition and alliance groups established a professional fundraising campaign that includes 20 community areas stretching all along the lake and river. This campaign is already underway.
